The business uses trained technicians and state-of-the-art machinery, and offers a customer satisfaction guarantee.

Its main services include carpet cleaning, upholstery cleaning, water damage restoration, tile and grout cleaning, rug and mat cleaning, odour control, mattress steam cleaning, high pressure cleaning, stain removal, carpet flea treatment, and end of lease carpet cleaning. Steam Clean Team customises its cleaning approach to match specific fabric and stain types.

Punctuality and clear communication are the qualities Hobart customers return to most often when describing Steam Clean Team, with Tom named repeatedly across accounts of carpet and upholstery work. Several reviewers describe him arriving exactly when arranged and keeping them informed from the first quote through to the follow-up, including a text reminder sent the day before the booking. The online booking and quoting process is described as straightforward and accurate, and the willingness to discuss pricing directly rather than collect personal details first is noted as a welcome difference.

Customers describe the results in concrete terms: wool carpets that look and smell refreshed, a sofa that came up like new, and large boucle couches with an ottoman cleaned thoroughly. Fair, competitive pricing is mentioned frequently alongside the quality of the finish, and the equipment used is described as current and effective. Reviewers also remark on how pleasant and helpful Tom is to deal with, with efficiency and friendliness recurring throughout the feedback. Tile cleaning, upholstery and water damage restoration sit alongside general cleaning among the services the business advertises. Carpet cleaning remains the job most often praised.
