The Bendigo Cleaning Company

The Bendigo Cleaning Company was established in 2003 and employs more than 80 local cleaning staff across Bendigo and central Victoria. It employs its cleaners directly and uses no subcontractors. The company holds $30 million public liability cover and full WorkCover, and its staff hold national police checks and Working With Children Cards. It is a preferred supplier to Victoria Police, the Department of Education and the City of Greater Bendigo.

It is a member of ISSA, the worldwide cleaning industry association, and of Be.Bendigo, and is a corporate partner of the Kinaway Chamber of Commerce. It was one of the first regional cleaning companies in Australia to be awarded School Cleaning Panel Status. It won the 2018 Bendigo Business Excellence Award for Excellence in a Service Industry and BSCAA Industry Excellence Awards in 2017, including Cleaning Manager of the Year. It cleans sites across Bendigo and central Victoria, with larger contracts as far as Horsham. Services include house and end-of-lease cleaning.

Bendigo residents regularly praise the carpet cleaning results from The Bendigo Cleaning Company, with several mentioning that stains which had survived earlier attempts were finally lifted. Tim is named repeatedly, described as accommodating when large pieces of furniture were left in place and as pleasant to have working in the home, while John is linked with useful guidance. One thing mentioned again and again is the organised and professional manner of the operation, and one long-standing client returns each year, noting that staff make the experience enjoyable.

Reviewers also refer to fair rates, with a job covering three bedrooms, a lounge and a hallway described as very reasonably priced. The company's broader work includes upholstery and windows, and customers mention the practical advice offered alongside the cleaning itself. Consistency across visits is another theme, whether the job is routine or more involved, and the readiness to focus on particular trouble spots is frequently acknowledged. Clear communication before and after the work, along with a tidy finish, rounds out the feedback, leaving the impression of a team that handles carpets, furniture and windows with equal care.
