Excel Cleaning

Excel Cleaning was founded in 2013 by Therese and her son James, and is family-owned and founder-run. Therese has been running home cleaning businesses in Melbourne since 1996, giving the company over 30 years of family cleaning experience. Excel Cleaning employs more than 90 cleaners and serves 326 suburbs across Melbourne.

It is a registered NDIS provider, a trusted aged care supplier, and offers DVA-funded house cleaning for veterans. Every cleaner is police-checked and reference-checked, and the company is covered by public liability insurance. It provides regular house cleaning, NDIS cleaning, aged care cleaning, and DVA cleaning. It hires 1 in 100 applicants, and more than a third of its cleaners have been with the company for over two years.

Across Moonee Ponds and the surrounding suburbs, Excel Cleaning has built a following among households that value consistency above all else. Reviewers repeatedly mention that the same cleaner attends each visit, a point that comes up often when people describe why they stay with the service. Named staff feature prominently in the feedback: Aleksi is described as careful, considerate and thorough, Nadal as reliable and friendly, Peter and Esther as an efficient, fast team, and Mila as conscientious and professional. Angie, Teresa and Sam also earn warm mentions for the pride they take in their work and the small extras they notice.

Several buyers describe the office team as responsive and respectful, with clear communication before and after each job, including when times need to shift. Punctuality, flexibility and a willingness to fit around changing schedules are praised, as is the trust placed in cleaners who lock up on departure. Results are described in consistent terms, with homes left spotless, shining and fresh-smelling, and rates called reasonable for the standard delivered. Long-standing clients note that cleaners are trained to company standards, and one dog-loving household appreciates the friendliness shown to pets.
